To Joe Bosco, golf is a team sport. At least, that’s how he teaches it.

For the past 10 years, Bosco has run the GreenToTee Golf Academy in the Chicago area, and he isn’t afraid to get creative in his teaching. With a staff of eight – which includes one of Illinois’ top teachers, Peter Donahue – Bosco isn’t afraid to use more than one instructor to team up on a student.

“We make valiant efforts to help all levels and ages put the best game on earth into a healthy perspective,” said Bosco, a University of Illinois graduate with a degree in history. “We do a number of crazy, unusual things that I guarantee haven’t been seen on The Golf Channel yet.”

The other half of Bosco’s business is GolfToBusiness, where he discovered that the way people play and practice golf mirrors the way they learn and perform in business. G2B provides performance workshops, seminars and programs for Fortune 500 boards and executive teams, to business development groups and to professional firms large and small.

“Participants leave energized, positive and much more aware of themselves and their teammates,” said Bosco, a former club champion and captain of his high school golf team. “They also cite a clearer view of how to align their own values with work and a course strategy for better teamwork and performance. It’s a terrific stress reliever and bonding experience.”
